Principal Responsibilities:
Set up a plan for implementing the grant’s primary goal of older Americans and other volunteers mentoring new Americans to succeed.
Establish community connections with agencies, organizations and programs working with new Americans.
Expand the beginning pilot mentoring model of three seniors and three new Americans as the emerging structure indicates.
Develop local funding to continue the work of any initial grant.
Direct the work of the Giving + Learning Program Coordinator.
Monitor, collect and report data: numbers, progress of grant, sites used, participants and mentors, client needs.
Keep the Community informed.
Needed skills:

5. Willing to create mentoring models.
6. Ability to work with staff, committees and individuals.
Program Coordinator
1. Manage all office work
A. Organize all computer data for the Program including:
New Americans to be mentored
Prospective and current older Americans and other mentors
Data base of current community resources for training and mentoring for new Americans.
B. Library of Resource Materials
2. Monitor and document all grant/funding activities
A. Reconcile budget data
B. Develop biannual grant reporting
C. Explore new funding sources for program development
3. Develop and produce written material involving grant activity and promotion.
A. Create brochures
B. Produce correspondence and documentation
4. Provide assistance to the work of the Program Director.
